  The employees are also quite knowledgeable and friendly. The owner is a top notch fellow that treats his employees incredibly well, and it shows in their performance and professionalism towards the public. To top it all off, even the worst (comparatively) employees that work there will bend over backwards for you and know a lot about the products they sell and the appropriateness of different types of products for different pets and pet related needs. I have never seen people that know more about dog food in my life!

  No matter, do not be fooled. The store is excellent and always has been. I challenge anyone to find this kind of service from any other pet store in town!

  Love the staff here! They are so knowledgeable and make sure you are helped out! Also, they truly love animals!!! Every single person who works there is amazing!

  I contacted Pet Valu on yelp and the owner sent me an email saying that if I call the store during hours of operation someone there will gladly help me. This was 9:30pm and I called next morning and talked with an associate who went out of her way to help. I went to the store and they are very friendly and helpful. I discovered they carry both my cat foods and that makes me very happy. One stop shopping for me.

  This Pet Valu is an awesome store. It is starting to get a little crowded in there (might need an expansion to fit all of the inventory in the near future and make room for foot traffic of customers) but other than that the stock is excellent.

  Store is clean, organized and nice atmosphere. They even have cats roaming about and a friendly large dog behind the counter. I don't live in Sherwood Park but will continue to go to this store.

  Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Lots of choices, priced just a bit more than Pet Smart but my wife and I shop here because of the staff. It is nice to shop at a place where the staff actually know the products and can say something intelligent about their use! Oh, and the store kitties are a very nice touch.

  I no longer live or work in Sherwood Park but I go out of my way to continue shopping at this location. Why? Because the staff take the time to get to know you (they are all awesome, btw), and they always have what I need on the shelves. In fact, the store manager deliberately carries one bag of the dry kibble my cat loves, even though it is no longer a brand the store carries. I've never asked this of her. That is customer service, my friends, and a great way to build a loyal customer base!

  On a side note, a couple of reviews entered recently seem a tad suspicious. I have never experienced anything like what is described in them, and I have reason to doubt they are actually genuine because I go to this pet store at least 4 to 5 times per week to buy stuff and have never seen a single employee acting like what is described. Please flag them to protect the genuineness of this review service! They are easy to identify through their laughable and verbose statements (I had to "rush my child out of the store"...really? And you said nothing? I doubt that).
